2021: A Year of Tasting Classes

Posted by Keith Wallace

IN 2020, the city and state forced all schools to close for almost an entire year. As soon as we were allowed to reopen in October 2021, we posted an entire year’s worth of tasting classes. We hosted some of the greatest classes we have ever offered, up to that point. This included some of our classics (Wine 101, Core Sommelier Program), which were available, plus some very special new classes. Within hours, people were booking seats for November and December, and our Advanced Sommelier programs started to sell out a year in advance!

Here’s a small selection of those classes. Keep in mind that we post hundreds of classes for you to check out! Each class can be taken in person or online for free (for our members).

Napa & Beyond

It’s time to explore America’s greatest wine regions, but this isn’t your Grandfather’s Napa Valley. In this wine tasting class, we dive into the complexity and diversity of the wines coming out of Northern California.

Natural Wines

Natural wines, organic wines, and biodynamic wines have been controversial since the school was founded in 2001. It’s a topic we love, and our advocacy of natural wines has permeated every wine class we’ve taught for the last 20 years.
