Sommeliers are the professionals of wine who arrange the wine lists, suggest and pair the wines and make the dining experience more enjoyable. Being an expert is not only about sensing the taste of a wine-they are also knowledgeable in viticulture, winemaking, and service. A well-trained sommelier is capable of disclosing a guest’s tastes, thus, they will be able to suggest wines that work perfectly with a dish. Not only in restaurants, but they can also work in areas like wine education, sales, and consulting. They take part in programs that the National Wine School arranges for the refinement of their knowledge. Whereas, the more traditional type of sommelier is engaged only in fine dining, the more modern type of sommelier works in wholesale, leisure, and the media. Their task is to choose bottles only; they are bringing narration, and tradition, along with technics to every pour.
