The Members-Only Club for Philadelphia’s Wine Lovers
The Wine Club
Wine School membership is about enjoying wine with other people who genuinely like it—and having a place to come back to.
Members get together regularly for relaxed wine events, from Uncorked socials to Wine Club tastings and food-forward dinners. Bring a bottle you’re excited about, bring a friend, grab a bite, and settle in. No pressure, no performance—just good wine and good company.
Some members join for the social side. Others join for the education. Most end up enjoying both.

Media Reviews of Our Wine Club
What began as a small gathering of alumni, sommeliers and winemakers has grown into a wider wine community.
“Its wine club membership is an extension of these offerings, providing subscribers access to exclusive weekly members-only events, founder’s pairing dinners, a bi-weekly newsletter, training workshops, and opportunities to connect with experts in the wine industry.”
George Banks-Weston, Eater Philadelphia
“The Wine School of Philadelphia has been the headquarters for aspiring sommeliers, wine educators, and winemakers since 2001.”

What Membership Actually Feels Like
Uncorked: The Members Social
Uncorked offers a relaxed wine social with food, wine and no formal agenda. Bring a bottle, meet other wine lovers and settle in.
Wine Club Tastings
Each tasting explores a theme with enough structure to learn something, while leaving plenty of room to taste, talk and enjoy the evening.
Wine Dinners
Food-forward wine dinners bring serious bottles to the table in a casual setting. Some specialty dinners carry separate member ticket pricing.
A Place to Keep Learning
Some members come mostly for the club. Others use membership as a reason to take more classes and go deeper into wine. The program is designed to work for both.
Studying Wine Seriously?
Core Sommelier Includes Membership
Students enrolling in an eligible Core Sommelier program receive six months of Wine School Membership included with Core.
Use the membership while you are studying—attend member events, earn Cellar Credits and take advantage of member benefits during the included period.
After six months, you can choose to continue at $199 annually or $19.99 monthly.
From Elite Beginnings to an Inclusive Community
Our original wine club was launched in 2005 as the Cru Club. Over time, we wanted to create a more inclusive experience and gradually opened the community to wine lovers at every level.
During COVID, the club moved online for a time. Today, it is built around the same basic idea that started it: interesting wine is better when there are interesting people around the table.
Our focus remains on creating smart, fun wine experiences without turning wine into a performance. Members bring curiosity, a willingness to share and, occasionally, an extraordinary bottle.
Wine is better when you have people to share it with.
Join for the classes, the events, the Cellar Credits—or simply because you want a place in Philadelphia where people care about what is in the glass without taking themselves too seriously.
