The Advanced Wine Instructor Certification™ is the second stage in the National Wine School’s teacher-training track. This program pairs you with a senior instructor as you complete six supervised Quick Pour™ classes and develop the core teaching skills required for classroom leadership.

Description
The Advanced Wine Instructor Certification™ is designed for Wine Instructors who are ready to move from leading events to teaching real classes. This program provides structured, one-on-one training with a senior Wine School educator and offers a clear pathway toward full classroom responsibility.
Over approximately 20 hours of training, candidates:

Teach six Quick Pour™ classes with direct supervision and feedback

Develop skills in pacing, classroom flow, and student engagement

Learn the standards and expectations required to represent the Wine School in public classes

Begin shaping a personal teaching style while staying aligned with NWS methodology
Successful graduates earn the Advanced Wine Instructor™ credential and become eligible for invitation to the Certified Sommelier Instructor (CSI) program.

To register, candidates must have:

Completed Wine Instructor™ certification

Earned the Core Sommelier Pin

Finished two or more Advanced Sommelier courses (not including the Wine Instructor program)
Scheduling Policy
Teaching assignments for the six required Quick Pour™ classes are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Candidates should plan ahead, as scheduling depends on class availability.
