I'm a huge fan of the Wine School of Philadelphia, and completed all three levels of sommelier courses through their online program to receive my somm pin. Keith is terrific and engaging and I learned so much from the program he designed. I recently started the Master of French Wine advanced course online and it's been a bit bumpy. They've reorganized the program post launch and had some issues with the tests and exams along the way, so I've taken a pause while they work out the kinks. I look forward to restarting it and appreciate that the Wine School has granted unlimited time to complete this course! I wish I had waited to enroll until this was sorted out, but I have no doubt that it will eventually be a WONDERFUL course and I'll benefit from it tremendously.
I successfully completed Level 1,2,3 of the Core Sommelier program online. I learned a great deal and enjoyed the classes. I found Keith’s teaching style to be superior. Although Alana is extremely knowledgable, her teaching style had me feeling like I was drinking water (wine 😂) from a fire hose. The level 3 class was jammed with so much content, I needed to start, stop and replay the video constantly to take some notes. The bottom line is that all the courses were fantastic and exceeded my expectations. I would really like to continue on but it is not easy for me to continue with onsite classes. I believe additional online courses could be a win-win for the school and the students.
I’ve now taken a few classes with Alana & Keith, as well as the level 2/3 in person sommelier course last semester. It’s hard to put into words how excellent the experience inside the high school of Philadelphia is, whether you’re taking an advanced class or just joining for the night. Keith and Alana bring an incredible depth of knowledge, answering every question with ease, insight, and a little silliness. Their passion and energy make every class educational and engaging - I learn so much every time without it feeling anything like a lecture. It is easy to feel their love for wine, and every lesson and their expertise is unparalleled. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned wine enthusiast, this school is an absolute gem, and your time there will deepen your appreciation and understanding of wine even further. Highly recommend!
I completed the 3 levels of core and was so happy with the courses and the instructors. I am going on to take a master class.. I enjoy their style of teaching, especially their presentations on how to complete a tasting.
I am also enjoying the pod casts.

This was our first class and what a pleasure! Keith brings vast knowledge of wine, regions, history and how to approach your palate with enthusiasm and passion, tossed with great humor. As a beginner there was no intimidation, the class lent itself to explore your tastes while understanding the different complexes within the Rhône region. Looking forward to another class in the future. So fun ! Thanks Keith
