The Gods of Wine
Thursday, December 18 from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm

From the vineyards of Israel’s Judean Hills, where wine was first blessed in ancient covenant, to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the papal stronghold of France, from Georgia, the cradle of winemaking itself, to Spain’s Priorat, the Stairway to Heaven built by monks, wine has always been more than drink. It is a bridge between humanity and the divine.
In this class, we explore seven sacred wine regions that span Judaism, Christianity, and the ancient gods, tracing how wine evolved from a ritual to a sacrament and a myth from the dawn of civilization to today’s glass. This is not just a tasting – it is a journey through faith, power, and the deepest roots of human culture.
