The 2025 vintage of the Advanced Winemaking Program at the Wine School of Philadelphia is now enrolling—an unmissable opportunity for serious wine students to get hands-on with every step of the winemaking process, from grape to bottle. This program is an integral component of both the Advanced and Master tracks at the National Wine School, offering unparalleled immersion for those ready to move from theory to cellar floor.

This isn’t just a class—it’s a working winery. Over two semesters, students collaborate in teams to produce a professional-grade wine under the mentorship of our Napa-trained winemaker. You’ll crush, ferment, rack, blend, and bottle your own wine. You’ll also learn how to select and source grapes, make technical additions, manage fermentation, and conduct lab analyses. Each class builds toward a complete understanding of how real wines are made in the real world—complete with grape deliveries, stem analysis, punch-downs, and fining protocols.

What makes this program exceptional? You’re not just learning winemaking—you’re doing it. Students step into real roles in a functioning micro-winery: Assistant Winemakers lead teams; Cellar Masters oversee operations; Winery Chemists manage lab testing. It’s intensive, collaborative, and deeply practical.

Fall session begins October 13, 2025, with harvest activities scheduled according to the vintage. Spring session resumes March 9, 2026, culminating in bottling day and final evaluation. Successful students can earn Winemaker Certification through the National Wine School.

Whether you’re building toward a professional career or simply want to understand the craft from the inside out, this program is your chance to make a wine you can truly call your own.
