wine educator

The essential certification for anyone who needs to teach or talk about wine to an audience. This certification from the National Wine School is mission-critical for anyone in wine education. A dozen graduates from this program are running their wine schools; two are now WSoP employees, and a dozen more are running their own wine event companies.

To be taken seriously in wine education, you must complete wine educator training and earn your certification. If you dream of opening a wine school or wine event company, this is an obvious necessity. Why would anyone in their right mind attend a wine seminar if the person in front wasn’t qualified to teach the subject matter?

Teacher training includes the skills necessary to succeed, including classroom management, public speaking, and curriculum development.

Being a certified sommelier-instructor goes far beyond wine schools and wine event companies. Many jobs in the wine trade require the ability to teach and communicate. Winemakers, sommeliers, distributors, and wine importers must communicate and educate the public and other professionals. Communicating effectively is the most important factor in success in the wine trade.

Learn from the best. Two of America’s top wine educators teach this accelerated program: Keith Wallace and Alana Zerbe, Director of Education at the Wine School of Philadelphia.
