Hi ,
I wanted to reach out personally about something new we’re doing at the Wine School — something I’m really excited about.
We’ve just launched a new series called Quick Pours. These are short, one-hour classes focused on practical, real-world wine skills — things like how to order wine at a business dinner, how to buy bottles at the grocery store, or how to talk to pros at your favorite wine shop.
They’re just $5 for members and $45 for everyone else, and they’re taught by our up-and-coming instructors — students from our academic programs who are working toward their teaching credentials through the Teacher Training Track.
Our very first candidate, Surabhi, is teaching the first three Quick Pours. If you’re a member, a student, or both, I’d love for you to come out, support her, and experience what we’re building together. Over the next year, we’ll be inviting more of our Master-level students who have completed (or will complete) teacher training to join this program and start teaching too.
This is the start of something bigger — a way to grow our teaching team from within, to bring more voices and perspectives into the classroom, and to make wine education more accessible for everyone.
You’ve all helped build this community. Now we get to see it expand in a new direction.
