What’s the best thing about the Wine School? It changes for me all the time. But this week, what I love most is that it’s a little sanctuary from everything outside.

The mix of people always surprises me—whether it’s a members-only event, Wine 101, or a full-on certification course. What really gets me, though, is how much people love being part of this place. They come here, they connect, they make friends.

And somehow, everyone’s totally unfazed by my dark sense of humor and mildly dystopian good vibes. That’s a rare and wonderful thing.
