I signed up for Pro certification. Where can I find the course content?
Reading material, quizzes, and exams can be found in your wine school account. Your courses are listed under the “My Wine Courses” tab. The tab opens by clicking on the “+” symbol.
There are no courses listed under “My Wine Courses”
There are several reasons why you may not see a wine course in your account. The first step is to verify you opted for National Certification via the National Wine School when registering for classes. If not, you can do so the first day of class.
If that did not resolve the issue, there are two other possibilities. The first is that someone else registered for you. If that is the case, we will have to transfer the registration from their name to yours. To accomplish this, you will need to create a wine school account. Once you have, let us know on our customer support forum.
The second possibility is that we haven’t added you to the course yet. Our interface with the National Wine School sometimes requires we manually add students to the online system. Typically, all students are added to their courses two weeks prior to the start of the class.
I can’t log into my account
This can happen for a few reasons. We automatically email you an account and a password when you register for a program. If you can’t find your password, you can request a new one. If someone else registered for you, you will need to create your own account, and let us know about the change. This is especially important if you are registered for Sommelier Certification from the National Wine School.
I can’t change my password.
You can change your password by requesting it here. We will email you a code to reset your password. If you are having a hard time changing your password, there are a few reasons.
Finally, you need to create a safe password. That means having a password that includes digits along with uppercase and lowercase letters. If you try to create a password that is easy to hack, our system won’t allow you to proceed.
I am not getting emails (to open an account or reset a password)
The most likely cause is that your email server is blocking our emails. It is very likely that you would get some emails (for instance, an email from Philip about an upcoming class) and not others (to reset a password, for instance). This happens because some emails are sent automatically and can get filtered by your own email service.
To fix this, check your bulk mail and spam. Make sure to whitelist all emails coming from vinology.com, wineschool.us, and winelust.com.
Some corporations censor all emails relating to alcohol (I’m talking to you, Johnson and Johnson). If you work for a conservative company, our emails may be permanently blocked. To fix this issue, you would need to contact the IT department of your company.
As a rule of thumb, using a personal email address is often less troublesome than using a corporate one.
I need help, but I can’t post on the forum.
This can happen if you have an account, but are not logged in. The first thing to try is to log into the site. If you are desperate to reach us, simply use another email address when posting on the forum. You can even use a fake email address, if you want.
When do I get my certification?
Students must successfully complete the Foundation and Intermediate exams to be eligible for certification via the National Wine School. If you complete your exams within two weeks of the final day of class, you will receive your certification via the post. You can expect to receive certification within two to three months from completion.
If you do not complete the exams in time (two weeks from the last day of class) your exams will be graded with the students in the following semester. This can mean a delay of up to five months.
Can I Pick up my Certification?
All certification is mailed directly to your address on file.
I need to change my mailing and/or email address
You can change your mailing and contact information in your wine school account.
