Hi Keith! We have met a couple times in the last few years since I moved from Sweden to Philadelphia. I run a wine tasting company here in Philly, and also teach from time to time. I teach wine, and food & wine for the Swedish Government institution of continued learning back in Sweden, and have taught advanced food & wine pairing at Drexel University here in Philly.
I have a University degree in Gastronomy, and a WSET Advanced Sommeliers Diploma from the Swedish Restaurant Academy, making me one of the worlds only Gastro-Sommeliers. So my main niche is teaching the science behind correct food and wine pairing, most popular is my Basal flavor tasting. I’m sure you know how well received the basal flavor tastings usually are, and how it is a real epiphany for the participants!
I wanted to offer my services to the Wine School of Philadelphia, in the hopes that we could maybe put together some food & wine tastings. Basal flavor, wine & cheese, wine & desserts, wine & sauces (another favorite), whatever you think your clientele would be interested in! I do think offering a basal flavor tasting is a great way to start if you, and the Wine School of Phialdelphia would be interested!
