Problem with My Gift Certificate

My husband and I were given a gift certificate to the Wine School. I signed up for a class this morning, The Italian Wine Class at $48.98/person. I plugged in my $50 gift certificate while I was checking out. The screen showed $97.96 minus $50 for a total charge of $47.96. I then entered my credit card info for the remaining balance and when it computed and showed my credit card charge I was charged for the full amount, $97.96! So not only was I not reimbursed for my $50 certificate, I’m now concerned that the certificate may be useless for a future class since I had already entered its information into your system.

Can someone please look into this for me and let me know what I can do? We are still interested in attending the class, but I’d like to have the $50 credit as well.

Hi Elisa,

I can deduct the amount from your purchase, but it would incur a $5 credit card processing fee. That means the total deducted would be $45 maximum. Is this still something you are interested in?

I’ve checked, and your gift certificate code is still valid for $50.

  • Philip, thank you for the follow up but I wanted to apply the $50 gift certificate to the class I’m attending in September. I had it showing up as being deducted from the total but when the transaction went through it disappeared. Is there any way to credit my class?
