I need to cancel my seat in the Advanced Wine Teaching class starting September 3rd. The class no longer works with my schedule so I will not be able to attend. I am currently enrolled in the payment plan in the advanced Somm program. Will I be able to pick another class at a later date?
Please and thank you,
Here are the details you need to review:
If a student cannot attend a course, they must notify us at least thirty (30) in advance prior to the start date. With due notice, the student has the following options: first, transfer the registration to another person approved in advance by the Wine School; second, receive a non-refundable credit on account which can be applied toward another course. At the discretion of the school, reasonable administrative costs may be deducted from the total credit.
If a student does not give thirty days notice, a school administrator may offer a refund, at the administrator’s sole discretion. The total of any refund will be no great than 25% of tuition paid, minus any class fees and reasonable administrative costs.
As for the “That’s too bad” comment, I read that as an expression of empathy. Also, keep in mind that you posted on the public forum rather than use the email account given to payment plan members and advanced students. Philip was trying to keep his response brief because of that.
Let me know by 10am tomorrow if you want us to withdraw you from the speaker training program.
That’s too bad. The policy on cancellations is here: https://www.vinology.com/all/full-somm-plan/
Please let me know if I can help further.
Yes, it says “payment plans are non cancel able and non returnable” I’m not trying to cancel my payment plan as you are easily taking money out of my bank account weekly. Rather, I’d like to sign up for another class that suits my schedule better. I know for a fact there are others waiting to get into the class that I can not attend. “That’s too bad” is a really thoughtless way to respond to my question. I’m a paying student.
