The gift card was a cost-free charitable donation from the Wine School in 2010. Gift certificates donated to charity have an expiration date of one year. Therefore, the code is no longer valid.

Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.

  • I feel misled about the gift certificate. The gift certificate does not list an expiration date. I called in the past about the certificate and was told there was no expiration date so I waited until an opportune moment came up for a class I was interested in. Now I signed up for a limited spot class on June 5 and paid in full. I am no longer interested in the class or participating in any wine school events.
  • Elliot, in no way were you were misled. We donate special gift certificates to charities, and they are fully aware that those gift certificates have an expiration date. If the charity you contibuted to did not disclose that, you should be upset with them, not us. Part of the TOS of such gift certificates is that the charity must disclose the expiration date to the purchaser. If they did not do that, you have every right to ask the charity in question for a refund.
