Hello, I am attending a wine and cheese pairing class and wanted to make sure that my food allergies to nuts and shellfish wouldn’t be a problem.

Philip is right. However, keep in mind the cheese is served family-style, so there is a risk of environmental contamination. For instance, if someone ate a lobster before coming to class, or ate a bag of pecans. Not that it is likely, but it is something to be aware of.
