I have been in contact several times about taking the Wine Foundation course this fall. You have kindly answered my questions about taking the course, and I was very eager to take the course this fall. I thought I had signed up for it, but it turns out I signed up for “Amateur Sommelier” online course for free instead. I’m not sure how the mixup happened- I might have been the interface on my phone. But I have scheduled my calendar for the fall with the assumption that I was attending the Wine Foundation Course at 6pm on Sundays. But now it turns out I’m not registered and the course is sold out! I even deferred my graduate classes until next semester so that I could take the wine course this fall. As you can see, I have put a lot of time and effort into making this course work and I was really passionate about diving into a potential wine career. Is there any chance you can squeeze in an extra person into the course?? This is very important to me and I have already planned everything to make sure that I can devote my full time to this course. I understand that I am asking a lot, but this is devastating to me that I mixed up and didn’t register. I can’t express enough my desire to attend this course.
Thanks in advance for your time,
Thank you so much for that suggestion. I don’t have any experience in the wine world, hence why I want to get started! Would I be missing crucial information if I skipped the foundation course and went straight to the intermediate course? I don’t want to set myelf up for failure. But I really hope this can work out, thank you!!
Sadly, we already have a waiting list for this semester. There is simply no more room left. However, it does sound like you are very serious about your wine education. I’d suggest signing up for the Intermediate program this semester. You’d have to do the Foundation next semester, but it would at least get you started.
