Core or foundation

I am currently a wine salesman for the last three years. I’m looking to get more education for myself and my job. Just curious how much more intense it is taking the core level 1-3 than levels 1-2. I have 3 children so obviously they take up a lot of my time. Just deciding which classes to sign up for. I do have a passion for wine and have been in the business for the last six years.

Brad,

With 3 kids, that’s a hard choice. With the Core, it would take about 6 hours of your time every week (5 hours of classes, one to two reading). If that’s too much of a time commitment on a Sunday, then I’d suggest taking the Foundation program, then take the Intermediate the following semester.

No matter what, you should take the Foundation program (either by itself or apart of the Core) since it’s essential for all somm and winemaker training.
