Accelerated Intermediate Wine Course

I’m Alberto and I’ve just moved from Italy for business purposes. I’m passionate in wines tasting and I attended a course, while in Italy, for 218 lessons (about 3h each day) where we have been introduced to white and red grapes, champagne and classic method (cava, franciacorta) martinotti -charmat, dessert wine. In addition we learnt about wine making and fermentation process. during each lesson we used to taste 2 to 4 wines and I had also a final exam with certificate.

The course was held by the association ONAV (national association wine taster), here some details

I’m interested in the Accelerated Intermediate Wine Course course but I do not know if it fits with the previous course I had in Italy. could you better explain how it works? how many wines are tested? is there any book or supporting material…

Thank you for your questions. Our programs comply with USA/British standard with are outlined here:

I am familiar with the program you took, which focuses on winemaking, sparkling wine, dessert wine, and a few other topics. There is very little overlap between the two.

I’d suggest taking the Core program, not just the Intermediate. I think it would be better for you.
