We offer food pairing and tasting classes that go far beyond the typical. Our irreverent style and deeply researched approach is one that no other school can offer. If you are passionate about learning, then you’ve found your new home.

Two Hour Pairing Classes

Gain a whole new understanding of why certain foods work together. Learn how to hack recipes to make them more wine-friendly.

Top-Ranked Professors

Our teachers have real-life experience, along with being amazing at their job. Our people include bestselling authors, master-level sommeliers, former chefs, and professional winemakers.

Interactive Seminars

Many of our food classes include student participation. From preparing your own dishes in a cooking class to balancing flavors in  Wine & Pairing 101.

Fun & Down to Earth

Smart is not all we do. Our classes are dyanmic and fun. We place great value on the idea of playfulness while learning. Snobs are boring, so please keep yours at home.

About Keith Wallace

Winemaker, Chef, Author

Whether he is teaching the class, selecting the pairings, or simply talking with students. Keith is at the core of all food-related classes at the school.  A former executive chef who went on to become a California winemaker, Keith turned to teaching when he moved to Philadelphia. And we are so glad he did. When you take a class with him, you will understand why.  Simply put, he’s a force of nature.

Best of Philly

We have earned two “Best of Philly” awards, one for wine classes and the other for beer programs. In fact, Philly Mag cited those programs as the  “Best Adult Education”  in the region.

Ranked #1 by SOMM

Did you know there was a website that rated all the country’s wine schools? From Napa Valley to the Court of Master Sommeliers, we have been named at the top school in the country. SOMM cites our classes as  “the gold standard for wine education in the United States”

Grassroots and Local

Since our founding in 2001, we have been working to make everything about wine better.  We’ve worked with politicians to rewrite Pennsylvania’s draconian wine laws. We fund programs to help people gain employment in the wine trade. We also help entrepreneurs develop their own wine-related companies.

The Bestselling Beverage & Food Pairing Cookbook

The highly rated (and sold out) cookbook from Keith Wallace, the founder of the Wine School of Philadelphia. Corked & Forked: Four Seasons of Eats and Drinks launched the school’s culinary offerings.
