SUMMARY:America F*CK Yeah! The Wine Tasting Class
DESCRIPTION:Ok\, now that the festivities for the 250th celebrations have petered out\, and we get our city back… let’s have a America F*CK Yeah! wine class!  In this tasting\, we are celebrating 250 years of American wine. The emphasis will be our top selections from great American wine regions (Think Napa and Willamette) but also an homage to the great wine styles of the 18th and 19th and 20th Centuries as well. We will pop open one of Benjamin Franklin’s favorite wines\, as well a wine from a vineyard dating back to 1860! All in all\, this is a class on the unknown history of great American wine!

SUMMARY:Wine Instructor Certification
DESCRIPTION:Classes are held nightly from August 24–28\, 7:30–9:30 pm. \nThe Teacher Training Certification is the essential first step toward becoming a certified wine instructor. Offered through the National Wine School\, this program forms the foundation of the Teacher Training Track — the pathway leading to the Certified Sommelier Instructor (CSI) credential. \nThis certification is designed for students who aspire to teach\, lead\, or communicate about wine at a professional level. Candidates should hold their core sommelier pin or\, if needed\, may complete the accelerated Core program offered the week prior. Whether your goal is to teach at the Wine School of Philadelphia\, launch your own wine education business\, or advance your career in the wine trade\, this program builds the core skills that define great educators. \n\nStudents develop practical teaching abilities — including classroom management\, public speaking\, instructional design\, and curriculum development — within the context of professional wine education. The emphasis is on translating advanced wine knowledge into instruction that is engaging\, accurate\, and memorable. \nGraduates have gone on to teach at accredited wine schools\, lead wine event companies\, and direct education programs at wineries\, importers\, and distributors. Two current WSoP instructors began their careers in this very course\, and dozens more now run thriving wine education businesses across the country. \nThis certification is a prerequisite for the Wine Event Instructor and Wine Instructor programs: the next stages of the Teacher Training Track. Successful candidates may later be invited to teach Quick Pour™ classes\, mentor students\, or join the WSoP faculty as part-time instructors. \nIn wine education\, credibility matters. The Teacher Training Certification ensures that every future instructor — from classroom teachers to winemakers — has the communication and leadership skills to inspire confidence\, clarity\, and a genuine love of wine.
