
The Winemaking Class

From crushing grapes to bottling wine, this essential winemaking course enables the winemaker to make informed decisions about ingredients, equipment, and the winemaking process. Precise step-by-step instructions lead both novice and advanced winemakers through all of the important procedures, including selecting and working with new equipment, determining the best material for specific styles, analyzing the product, monitoring acidity levels, and common troubleshooting problems.
This course is a hands-on program. Over this semester, you will be making wine along with your classmates. You will learn a great deal in this program, most importantly that you can create a great wine. From grape to bottle, you will learn the core skills of winemaking, including how to get the best grapes (and figure out how many you need); determine what equipment is required; select the right yeast and figure out if any other additives are needed; and store, age, and test wine.
This class is your ultimate winemaking resource.
WINEMAKER CERTIFICATION
This qualification is available to all students who opt for certification via the National Wine School when registering for the Winemaking program.
