In this beer tasting class, we pit two of our favorite beer countries against each other. Belgian beers have been a staple in Philly for decades. The crazy good Abbaye tripels, the complex Flemish Bruins, and who could forget the Saisons? With centuries of expertise and history, Belgium is beer heaven!

Then there is the United States: the biggest, baddest brewer of craft beers in the world. We take the influence of the whole world, get drunk, and come up with ideas no one has ever tried before. A triple-hopped stout with  carrots? Easy. An IPA with dandelions and burnt pottery shards? Why not?  Since the 90’s, American brewers have redefined beer in a way no one ever has before.

In this class, we match up the best brewers from Belgium with our top picks from the USA.  Who makes the best Imperial IPA? Can the Americans hold their own against one of Belgium’s best tripels? This is a fun class that also will give you insight into the similarities and differences between these two great brewing cultures.
