The Italian Wine Specialist™ is part of the Advanced Diploma Program. It is a semester-long study into the wine and culture of Italy.
Classes are held every Monday evening from October 22nd to December 17th. No class on December 10th.

The Italian Wine Specialist™ is a comprehensive and authoritative guide to the wines of Italy. It surveys the wine-producing regions from Aosta Valley to Sicily. The wine course identifies essential styles, wine producers, and vintages of Northern and Central Italy. Extensive reference materials—for growing zones, grape varieties, and top producers— provide essential information for winemakers, restaurateurs, and sommeliers, as well as for wine enthusiasts.
Italy is one the most diverse wine countries in the world of wine; it offers alpine landscapes, volcanic terroir, endless microclimates, and a prehistoric winemaking culture that was impacted by Greeks, Phoenicians, and Romans. Plus, hundreds of indigenous and nativized grape varieties are grown across Italy. In this program, you will get to experience many of them.
