The NEw Wine School

As of March 31st, 2011, all classes will be held at our new location in Rittenhouse, 127 S. 22nd Street. The new facility is a swank Victorian mansion that has been transformed into the nation's premiere wine school.

Our New Neighborhood

The new wine school is located at 127 S. 22nd Street (near the corner of 22nd and Sansom). This is in the Rittenhouse neighborhood, and abuts the Fitler Square neighborhood, two of the most posh neighborhoods in the city. Just walking around is a treat.

Great Restaurants

The new school is located in one of the major restaurant zones in the city. Parc and LaCroix are within walking distance, but there are many more places to choose from.

Here is the list of great places within two blocks of the school: Stephen Starr's infamous Ranstead Room speakeasy and El Ray are up the street, Jose Garces Village Whiskey and Tinto are a two minute walk away; and two very good BYOs, Salento and Porcini are less than a block away. And that's just a taste.

There are dozens of restaurants and cultural activities in the neighborhood. We've listed all the best spots on the map.

Public Transportation

You can get to our new location very easily via subway, Amtrack, and light rail. We are less than 3 blocks from the 22nd and Market Street stop on the trolley line. We are less than a 1/4 mile from both 30th Street Station and Suburban station.

Biking

Not only is it incredibly easy to get to the school via public transport ai on, we are now also very bike friendly! The new Wine School has a bike lane directly in front of its door, and just three blocks from the Schuylkill River Bike Trail. Plus, there are plenty of places to lock up securely nearby.

Easy Highway Access

Most of you still will drive to the school. Good news for you, too! The new location is less than 2 minutes away from two exits onto route 76 and 3 minutes from the 676 exit. That makes it the easiest point to get to from both the Main Line AND New Jersey.

Plus, we are on the same block as the best (and cheapest) gas station in the city.

Easy Parking

Parking is incredibly easy in the new location. There are two inexpensive lots within two blocks ($7 and $10!) and a lot of free parking, including angled parking for those who don't like to parallel park.

Lodging

We are in the heart of the city, so there are several great hotels to choose from, if you are making a trip out of your stay. For good value, we suggest the Warwick. For an amazing stay, we love the Lippincott B&B. Of course, the Sofitel is a great choice, too.
