What is it about Barolo? It haunts the dreams of wine lovers and often seems to reflect the very soul of Italia. In tonight’s class, we’ll delight in wines from all over the majestic Alpine hill, but the focus will be on the famous Piedmontese vineyards of Barolo and Barbaresco. We will be featuring wines from our the director’s wine cellar, so expect some collectible and rare bottles to be opened for this class. Spanish Wine Academy

In Australia, great wine is called a “top drop” and that is what you will be experiencing in this class on top-shelf Aussie wines.

Have you tasted the amazing luxury  wine that is coming out of Australia these days? The days of schlocky shiraz and morbid merlots are over. It seems like the entire country of Australia became deathly embarrassed about that whole yellowtail thing, and decided to make world-class wines instead.

In this class, we will explore Australia’s key winemaking regions, taste a selection of truly remarkable wines, and discuss what to look for when buying and pairing these decadent selections with your favorite foods. Oh, and you’ll learn about the two hundred years of  fine winemaking  that existed before those damn kangaroo wines bounced onto the wine scene.

Want to step beyond Wine 101? This is the perfect wine tasting class for you.

In this class, we uncover some of the secrets of the wine trade, and it’s all about taste. Ever hear a master sommeliers or a winemaker talk about layers of flavor in wine? Do you want to learn how to taste them, too? In this class, we cover the fundamentals of what it means to taste wine like a professional.

While we can’t teach you to have an x-ray tongue in a single class, we can show you how to recognize complexity and layers in wine.

In this class, we will take you through a series of tastings to help develop your palate. We will show you how wine is made and how it affects flavors and scents in a wine. When we’re finished, you will have learned some of the same material we present in our academic programs, and are one step closer to having serious wine skills.
