Everything needed to brew beer. A full semester brewing program which will give you the hands-on experience any beginning brewer needs. Presented in a light-hearted but pragmatic style, the weekly classes are based in both lectures and lab work.

Class #1 Overview of Fermentation
Class #2 Sensory Training. A focus on beer esters, hop flavors, and faults.
Class #3 Beer Styles. A compendium tasting of classic beer styles, their origins, and modern interpretations. After this class, the students begin brewing beer, which will be sampled during the last day of class.
Class #4 The Wort. A hands-on approach to building the grain bill. In this laboratory class, you will learn how to create a wort from a full grain malt, use a hydrometer, and test water PH. This is a hands-on laboratory class.
Class #5 The Boil & Fermentation. In this class, you will learn about hop additions, proper boil techniques, and fermentation essentials. This is a hands-on laboratory class.
Class #6. Racking & Wet Hopping. The essentials of fermentation will be reviewed in this class, plus a hands-on tutorial in racking and wet hopping.
Class #7 Kegging & Bottle Conditioning. In this class, the final steps of beer making will be completed. This includes kegging and bottle conditioning the beers.
Class #8 Tapping the Keg. In this class, we crack open the beers we started brewing in Class #4.
